DESCRIPTION:

Ruth Warrington knows nothing about pop culture. And as an adopted child, Ruth also knows nothing about her birth family. This all changes when Ruth hits her thirties and decides to track down her birth mother - a 600-lb woman living on disability. The happy reunion of mother and daughter is short-lived, however, as Ruth's mother suffers a massive heart attack and dies before her very eyes. And Ruth, being a lawyer and a very responsible, rational adult, takes in her new-found half-sister Jennifer - a 22-year old who knows more about Brangelina than anything else. In addition to living with her new half-sister, Ruth's life is further complicated when Ben, an old college friend who's lost several hundred pounds on a sandwich diet, resurfaces after ten years with a very specific goal in mind. What follows is an hilarious trip into family dynamics, celebrity culture, betrayal and revenge.

Deeply funny and stupidly smart, PopTart is written and directed by Chris Craddock, the witty Canadian who brought Indulgences to the Dad's Garage stage in 2008. Originally set in Edmonton, Alberta the play has been 'relocated' to Atlanta, GA and given new technological elements. Throughout the play projections of video and still images act as scenery and enhance the story every step of the way.

THE CAST: Matt Horgan, Eve Krueger, Whittney Millsap, and Amber Nash

LENGTH: This show is scripted and runs approximately one and a half hours with a 15 minute intermission.

PLEASE NOTE: This show is not appropriate for anybody not old enough to experience adult humor...or anybody that just doesn't like it.
