Now that we’ve been seeing each other for a little while, we feel like it’s time to share something with you. Dad’s Garage is a 501(c)(3). Don’t worry, it’s not contagious. It just means that we’re a non-profit organization and we depend on the support of the community to keep us kickin’.
Now that you know our dirty little secret, why should you donate?
We may be a non-profit, but there’s a reason for it. We do a lot of shows (over 300 per year in fact) and we do our darndest to keep our ticket prices low so that everyone has easy access to us (don’t be jealous, you’re still the one we come home to). We believe that theatre (and boundary blurring, social-norm questioning theatre at that) is extremely vital to the health and growth of the community, and that cost shouldn’t be a barrier.
Ticket sales cover only about 35% of our costs. It's donations from intelligent, talented, and might we add - insatiably HOT individuals like yourself help make up a lot of the rest.
So, what's in it for you?
In addition to being seen on the arm of Dad's Garage, you’ll also get some great perks (like VIP tickets and personalized beer steins) for showing your commitment. AND, any donation you make is tax deductible...so when April rolls around - you’re sure to make the tax man jealous of our relationship.
