DO IMPROV GOOD - A Master Class with Kevin Gillese

DO IMPROV GOOD with Kevin Gillese

This is a four-week Master Class with Kevin Gillese, former artistic director of Dad’s Garage (he did it for a decade!)

Sundays from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. | September 7 - September 28

Do Improv Good is a deep dive into what makes improv truly shine—authenticity, emotional truth, contrast, and commitment. Led by Kevin Gillese, former Artistic Director of Dad’s Garage, this workshop blends philosophy and practice to help you stop doing scenes and start living them. Come ready to play, reflect, and do improv good.

Prior improv experience required.

Kevin Gillese is an award-winning Canadian comedy writer, performer, and producer with more than twenty years of experience squeezing laughs out of audiences. He has written or co-written ten plays produced in Canada and the United States.

He has written and produced a whole bunch of short films (including That Was Awesome, winner of the Audience Award for Best US Narrative at DC Shorts Film Fest), not to mention a few web series (like Hart of America, which was nominated for best comedy series at Rio Web Fest) and exactly one feature film: How To Ruin The Holidays starring Colin Mochrie and Amber Nash - currently available on Amazon. How To Ruin The Holidays won the Jury Award for Best Ensemble at the Rome International Film Festival and the Film Threat review raved: "You'll cry, you'll laugh, you'll cry laughing, it's inspired."

His debut comedy special, 7 Minutes in Kevin, will be released on Tubi this spring.

Kevin was the artistic director of Dad’s Garage Theatre in Atlanta for exactly ten years.
