What does it mean to be a student at Dad’s Garage University?
Dad’s Garage University is a place to learn, grow, and connect with other performers and mentors in pursuit of a funnier and more joyful future for the arts in Atlanta. (Students also get to see certain Dad’s Garage improv shows for free!) But, in terms of performance goals, what it means to be a student at DGU is up to you.
Our courses are designed to suit your growth and performance goals no matter what they are. If your goal is to learn improv and connect with fellow students, our beginner-level improv and stand up classes are the best place to start. If your goal is to perform on our stage, we offer multiple paths from the classroom to onstage opportunities.
Our stand up, specialty, and advanced improv and performance courses culminate in onstage grad shows, and we offer additional opportunities to perform through our audition-only conservatory program.
As part of our efforts to foster diverse voices and inclusive spaces, we also offer scholarships for all of our classes and camps.
For kids and teens
Make the most of spring, fall, and winter break.

Whether your student is brand new to improv or already has some experience onstage, these camps are the perfect place to build communication skills, make friends, and have a blast.
Connect with Comedy, Confidence, and New Friends Over Summer Break.
Our five-day camps offer general and specialized areas of interest for comedic performance for beginners and beyond—and they make summer a whole lot cooler and brighter!
We offer summer camps to rising grades 3—12.
