Join industry veterans Jon Barinholtz and Rob Belushi for an afternoon packed with real-world strategies to get your project moving — from conception to pitch to production. With nearly two decades of experience writing, acting, and producing across genres — including game shows, animated series, hybrid comedies, and feature films — Jon and Rob will guide you through their hands-on, practical approach to turning ideas into realities.

What You’ll Get:

  • A clear, actionable strategy to move your project forward — even if you’re starting from zero

  • Insight into what makes a project sellable, producible, and interesting

  • Tips for avoiding common creative and structural pitfalls

  • A roadmap to the marketplace that fits your vision — and how to breach it

  • An understanding of what it really means to be a producer (and how to become one)

Whether you’re ready to pitch, already in production, or just need help shaping the seed of an idea — this is your launchpad. Let’s take your project from thought to screen.

Jon Barinholtz and Rob Belushi Bio

Jon Barinholtz and Rob Belushi met in 2005 while working at The Second City in Chicago — seating patrons, cleaning up spills, and soaking up world-class comedy from the wings. Since then, they’ve built a long-standing creative partnership rooted in play, improv, and making audiences laugh.

Together, they've toured the country with live shows, written and produced for TV and film, and maintained successful on-camera careers. Their love of games and comedy collided in 2020 when they secured the rights to the hit board game Wavelength and sold it as a fast-paced, comedy-forward game show to Comedy Central, serving as executive producers and writers.

Since then, they’ve continued to develop original content and adapt IP, including The Perfect Line, which they sold to CBS and GSN — earning a 180-episode syndicated order. The show is a fresh, family-friendly take on the classic game show format, filled with humor and broad appeal.

Jon and Rob bring a comedic and collaborative lens to every project, developing shows across genres — from large-format game shows to reality competition, social experiments, and unscripted hybrids. They’re currently developing a wide slate, including food and travel formats, coast-to-coast competitions, and bold new concepts that aim to surprise, entertain, and connect with audiences.

Their goal: keep making smart, funny, and fresh content that’s as fun to watch as it is to create.
