BlackGround is coming to Southwest Arts Center this December 19 and 20 to embrace the essence of Blackness—and the holiday spirit—that will leave you laughing into the new year. We’re not just dreaming of a Black Christmas—we’re celebrating it!
Lose yourself to the laughs as BlackGround transforms classic holiday films featuring an all-white (or mostly-white) cast—think The Best Christmas Pageant Ever, White Christmas, or The Santa Clause—by moving the focus to what the Black people were doing during the movie using improvised comedy! Let us jingle your bells as we embrace the essence of Blackness in a way you've never seen before this holiday season!
