The October 11 kickoff party for Dad’s After Dark is exactly that—a party. It begins at 9:30 p.m.
Every Dad’s After Dark thereafter will be something unpredictable beginning at 10:30 p.m.!
When the lights go down, no they don’t—Dad’s After Dark takes over the stage with a free-for-all—literally! We keep the Dad’s Garage bar open late to fuel a rotating schedule of free after-dark jams, experimental shows, parties, and who knows what else! Every night is a surprise, so you gotta stick around if you want to find out what it is.
This event is for everyone who wants to be doused in the rawest primordial creative energy of the improv community. Are you cool enough to thrive in that kind of joyful, generative chaos? Prove it!

Nope. That would defeat the purpose of this event. Seats are available first-come, first-serve at showtime.
Also, this event is almost always free.

Almost always. Dad’s Garage does not charge for these events.
The only exceptions are if a third party bought the slot for an independent experimental show. In those rare cases, admission is paid directly to the show runner at the door at showtime.

They happen during the same 10:30 p.m. time slot, so that’s why there isn’t a Dad’s After Dark happening on those days.
